Hey bookish boozers!
Sam here. You know how everyone has that one story/legend where you’ll read every single retelling ever written? Sam from Thoughts on Tomes is in to Hades and Persephone. I have an irl friend who will read every beauty and the beast retelling. Mine is King Arthur. I will read every single Arthurian retelling I can get my hands on.

So, when I found Louise from Foxes and Fairy Tales’ Mythothon… a read-a-thon that spans an entire month, is based on myths, and this round is King Arthur, I immediately started my TBR.

This readathon is for all of April. You have to choose your character (Morgan le Fay, Merlin, or Nimue), gather your knights, and get to Camelot. Each character is it’s own reading prompt. You can double up on prompts. The group book is Legendborn, which I’ll be using for a few different prompts.
It’s no surprise I chose Merlin as my character and I’m going to try and gather all 12 knights. Here is my TBR and the prompts.

Merlin — Read a book with a witch or wizard: Merlin The Lost Years by T.A. Barron
King Arthur — Read a book featuring royalty: The Warrior Moon by K. Arsenault Rivera

Sir Bedivere — Read a book with something pointy on the cover: Given by Nandi Taylor
Sir Galahad — Read a book with a title that starts with a “G”: Given by Nandi Taylor
Sir Tristan — Read a book with a romance that should be legendary: The Warrior Moon by K. Arsenault Rivera
Sir Gaheris — Listen to an audiobook or read part of a story aloud: The Camelot Betrayal by Kiersten White
** Camelot — Read a book set in a place you’ve never visited. **
Starsight by Brandon Sanderson
Other folks in the WRFB Crew may be joining me on my journey to Camelot, but they’ll do their TBRs as they go. ONWARDS!
Until next time, we remain forever drunkenly yours,
Sam
