Weekly Wrap-Up: Apr 12 – 18, 2021

Happy Monday, Boozie Book Nerds!

This is your weekly reminder that black lives matter. Also, #StopAAPIHate

Sam’s Update

I kinda got some reading done. Mostly audio, but a decent chunk. Trying to get my physical book done by Saturday cause it’s Dewey’s!!! It’s also Mythothon so you’ll be seeing which prompt I’m reading for this week too. Here’s my TBR.

What Sam Finished:

  • Sir Kay & Sir Gaheris: The Camelot Betrayal by Kiersten White: This is the sequel to The Guinevere Deception, which I wasn’t super impressed with but it’s Arthurian so I feel the need to give it another go. I’m not thrilled with this book, which makes me sad.

What Sam is Currently Reading:

  • Group Book & Sir Gareth: Legendborn by Tracy Deonn: this is black girl magic in North Carolina and I’m stoooooooked. I’m about 20% through this and I wanna have it done by Saturday
  • Team Merlin Merlin: The Lost Years by T. A. Barron: truly, I wish this was better than it is… but it’s a bland middle grade and that makes me sad. Basically Merlin is like, 10, and he leaves his mom to go find out who he is.

Minda’s Update

What Minda is Currently Reading:

  • The Bromance Book Club by Lyssa Kay Adams – “Distraught and desperate, Gavin finds help from an unlikely source: a secret romance book club made up of Nashville’s top alpha men. With the help of their current read, a steamy Regency titled Courting the Countess, the guys coach Gavin on saving his marriage. But it’ll take a lot more than flowery words and grand gestures for this hapless Romeo to find his inner hero and win back the trust of his wife.”

Ginny’s Update

No update from Ginny this week

Until next time, we remain forever drunkenly yours,

— Sam, Ginny, and Minda
