Reread Review for Book 1
What I drank prior: a bottle of wine. Parker and I watched Merlin, it was great. I stopped at a bottle though since I have a big day tomorrow.
Goodreads Overview:
The Wheel of Time turns and Ages come and pass. What was, what will be, and what is, may yet fall under the Shadow.
Let the Dragon ride again on the winds of time.
..that is the worst overview ever… mine i sbetter
Drunk Overview: ok so, while I’m on my re-read, i will try and remind you all that not only have i read these before, this is a long series so if you don’t want to be spoiled gtfo. In this one the boys are off to go find the horn and the women are off to the white tower. That’s about what I can say.
Spoiler-free Thoughts: I can’t believe that i get the privilege of reading these again. There are so many things I forgot and I love it.
Characters: Ok, so while this is a reread, i did reread it a while ago. All I’ll say is what’s in my notes. Basically it says Rand is still a little bitch, Mat is still my husband, and the women could use a bit of life lessons. Seriously though…
Plot: there’s a lot going on in this one. Gotta find out what’s up with the horn and why it matters, gotta figure out the white tower, and gotta SAVE THE PEOPLE WHO GET TAKEN. Not gonna say who but for real though its terrifying those damn collars.
Writing Style: I’m gonna go with audio style. i love that we get a female and a male voice for the POVs.
World Building: We’re almost at the Aeil and I AM SO EXCITED
What to pair it with: Brown ale. Bitter sweet and heavy.
Rating: 5/5
Until next time, we remain forever drunkenly yours,
