Championship Bar Fight 2020
Here we have our final fight of the year! It was a tight race, but we have our finalists, Rand al’Thor from the Wheel of Time series and Murderbot from… well… Murderbot. Minda and Sam have made their arguments below. Let’s see how it shakes out.
The Dumb One vs. The Jock
Rand al’Thor (1) v Murderbot (1)
The Rand Argument by Sam
“It’s the final countdowwwwwn…” No? Ok I’ll stop.
This is a battle to end all battles. This is going to be a tough one for our dummy Rand. Murderbot is a worthy opponent. But we all know that he won’t let an androgynous android take him down. Drunk or sober, Rand al’Thor, the Dragon Reborn, the Car’a’carn, the Coramoor will prevail. Murderbot is probably learning how to be drunk for the first time and gets a bit too sloppy. Rand, being the gentleman that he is, wants to help it out, and Murderbot mistakes that for an attack and goes wild. Rand being a but drunk himself has little patience and thus begins the most epic-est bar fight. Rand has is buds Matrim and Perrin over there cheering him on. Matrim with a pretty girl on his lap, and Perrin looking incredibly uncomfortable at the dishonorable bar fight happening. Murderbot tries to shoot Rand and he sees it coming, reaching toward the Source and Travelling to be behind Murderbot, where he traps it in a chokehold. Murderbot is prepared though, throwing Rand over its shoulder. Now Rand is mad, out comes the balefire, Dragon Ball Z style. Murderbot is simply, removed, from the wheel and thus ends the most epic-est bar fight ever with the Dragon Reborn quietly walking away leaving the public eye to get some peace and quiet.
The Murderbot Argument by Minda
Here we are, the ultimate battle: Sci-Fi vs Fantasy. And science fiction is greater than fantasy.
This match up is absolutely Murderbot’s hardest one so far, but I still believe it can win. Rand may be able to reverse time and do other fantasy sh*t, but (again) its name is Murderbot. It was made for this. And Murderbot owns time! So here’s how it goes down. Rand is like too drunk at the bar and it’s time for him to go home. He kicks up a fuss and the bartender flags their new bouncer, Murderbot, to handle the situation. Murderbot tries very hard to keep things amicable, but a drunk Rand is being extra. And when Rand threatens the safety of the bar workers and the patrons? Shit is going down. Murderbot escorts him outside (read: knocks him out the mf’ing front door) to do battle. Sure, Rand has an arsenal of things, but so does Murderbot. And it has been paying attention. Plus, as bouncer, she’s sober so has the edge. Game, set, match: Murderbot.
No predictions this week, only some solid arguments. What do you think? Do you disagree with either of us? Comment down below with who YOU think would win this bar fight (and to enter in the giveaway).
