Minda here! In honor of May birthdays, it’s books with emerald covers. Or a generous take on emerald covers.
5. Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng – This book definitely lives up to the hype. Drink with an unusual red: Review.
4. Uglies by Scott Westerfeld – Still one of my fave YA series. A perfect May read!
3. Secret Daughter by Shilpi Somaya Gowda – An incredibly touching story about cultural divides and opportunity surrounding a daughter adopted from India. One of my favorite reads!
2. The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien – Great book that I always associate with the color green, for better or worse.
1. The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini – Such a good heart-wrenching book. For those who don’t remember or haven’t read, we follow Amir, the son of a wealthy merchant, and Hassan, a servant for the family, in Afghanistan as they navigate friendship, betrayal, and caste.
