Happy Monday, Boozie Book Nerds!
This is your weekly reminder that all lives can’t matter until black ones do.
Sam’s Update
It was a good week for reading this week. I’m super happy about it but I feel like hot garbage.
What Sam Finished:

- To Sleep in a Sea of Stars by Christopher Paolini: I am finally doooooone. Idk what it was about this book, but it DRAGGED ON. I just wasn’t invested.
What is Currently Reading:

- The Last Emperox by John Scalzi: This is the final book in the Interdependency series, which makes me super sad. I can’t go into too much plot here, but let’s just say that the leadership of all humanity (essentially) is trying to make sure it doesn’t all collapse and be the end of civilization as they know it. I LOVE THESE BOOKS. Cardenia and Kiva are incredible. I want to savor this last book but I’m flying through it.
Minda’s Update
What Minda is reading now:

- Winter’s Orbit by Everina Maxwell – “Prince Kiem, a famously disappointing minor royal, has been called upon to be useful for once. His future husband, Count Jainan, is a widower and murder suspect. Neither wants to be wed, but with a conspiracy unfolding around them and the fate of the empire at stake they will have to navigate the thorns and barbs of court intrigue, the machinations of war, and the long shadows of Jainan’s past, and they’ll have to do it together.”
- The Wolf in the Whale by Jordanna Max Brodsky (audio) – This one is a fantastical telling of the hypothetical meeting and clash between Inuits and Vikings in AD 1000. Thiiiis close to being done! Very interesting take on Ragnarok.
Ginny’s Update
No update from Ginny this week… finals.
Until next time, we remain forever drunkenly yours,
— Sam, Ginny, and Minda
Great wrap up! I really want to read Winter’s Orbit!
