BLOG TOUR: Cocktail Recipe: King of the Rising by Kacen Callender *GIVEAWAY*

Hello all!!

We’re going to try something different today. We were lucky enough to be selected for the King of the Rising blog tour from Caffeine Book Tours! King of the Rising is the sequel to Queen of the Conquered by Kacen Callender, which I got hammered and reviewed. This post may have a few spoilers for the first book, but I’ll try real hard to keep it broad.

We received an early copy of the King of the Rising as part of the tour material and I’m about half way through. It’s the same wild ride, introspective mystery and rebellion. It’s told from Loren’s perspective rather than Sigourney’s, but it feels very similar. Can’t wait to see how it ends.

I’ve come up with a cocktail recipe for this book based off my feels and my personal tastes. I tried it out and it’s not half bad! Here’s the inspiration recipe that I modified and grabbed the picture from. Let me know what you think.

King of the Rum Rising

  • 1 part coconut rum
  • 1/2 part clue curaçao
  • 2 parts lemon seltzer (feel free to use hard seltzer, I didn’t but sometimes you just need more booze)

Here’s some more info about the book and the author. There may be a giveaway in there too *winky face*
