Drunk Overview: this book is so much fun. I love an enemies to lovers done well. Lina is a wedding planner left at the altar. Max is the supposed-to-be-brother-in-law who is responsible for the groom leaving Lina. Three yearsater they get paired on a proposal for Lina to work as the wedding planner for a fancy hotel.

Drunk Thoughts: Lina is just a ton of fun. Her family and the Brazilian culture they bring was just fantastic. The descriptions of food, people, and customs was so comforting.

• Max’s family didnt hace the same impact but considering his brother was basically moist white bread thats not surprising.
• Lina has a fear of being known while Max has a fear of being overshadowed by his bro, which is what made this story so interesting.
• Okay, ao details
• This book did a decent job with details about DC, so the world felt real.
• 5 weeks seems like a lot of time to pull a proposal together but hey what do I know about wedding planning (spoiler alert, there afe no wedding bells in my near futute)
• There was a couples retreat included that felt like it was mostly there to get us to the next point.
• Seriously though, Linas family was amazing. Her mother and her cousins were such delights
• I love a good family dynamic where teasong is both loving and of makes you want to die.
• Max’s bro is a hige dick (if you didnt get that from mh descriptiom earlier). I personally think its pretty clear from the beginning, but especially as someone who has siblings, what the fuck dude?
• Also major cringe warning for this book, there are some lies that are told that get foind out that will mostly likely make you yell “why!”
• (The reason is anxiety)

What I’d Pair it With: Rose, something tart with a bit of sweet.
