Hey everyone!
We are so honored to host Day 2 of the Biannual Bibliothon! For those of you new to the Biannual Bibliothon, it is a week long readathon hosted across YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, and the blogosphere. Winter’s Biannual Bibliothon will be from Jan 20th-26th! We are hosting Day 2’s blogger challenge called…. *drumroll please*
Create Your Own Bookish Beverage!
The challenge is to create a beverage (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) based on a book or character and tell us why! You can take a photo of your beverage, write a recipe, take a video of you sipping your bookish beverage, etc. but they key is telling us why the drink matches. =)
For example:
Hermione – Pumpkin Spice Chai Tea Latte because Tea is supes English and Pumpkin Spice reminds us of Hogwarts and she mentions in one of the books she likes Chai.
Lazlo from Strange the Dreamer – Blueberry Tea with honey because there are blue people and he’s a sweetheart like honey.
Dark Matter by Blake Crouch – Absinthe and Soda with a twist of lime because that book is trippy AF and has a twist.
Gentleman’s Bastard Series by Scott Lynch
- Chocolate Cake Shot
- Vanilla Vodka
- Frangelico Hazelnut Liquor
- Sugar Rim
- Lemon
- Take the shot and suck the lemon – makes the lemon taste like Chocolate Cake (not lying)
- Reason: This book’s story is never what you think it’s going to be. Locke is an incredible character that’s always one step ahead. And he’s really good at disguising things… like making lemons taste like chocolate.
